Instead of providing real value, these miscreants are taking advantage of your need for help and using it to enrich themselves at your expense

To that extent we have made a list of 13 illegal loan apps, groups, social media pages to avoid so you don’t become a victim of such persons.

They are actually so much you’ll have to do your own due diligence before downloading any loan apps


1 – Superloans

Super loans poses like a legit loan app, however, they are not registered by the federal government or any governmental agencies. It’s setup by Damilare Esse Ekuweme, and it’s totally unlicensed and goes as far as to advertise using stolen intellectual property.

You should avoid them!

2 – OkNaira

OkNaira is another loan app that sprung up sometimes in July 2022 and they aren’t registered with the federal government. They don’t even process a traceable digital footprint.

3 – PalmCredit Customer Care

This is a group on Facebook with thousands of members claiming to be representatives of PalmCredit.

While PalmCredit has repeatedly reported and tried to shut down this illegal , impersonating group, they still continue to operate and scam people.

Beware of such groups. Never pay any money into any account promising or posing to be representatives of PalmCredit.

Always pay your loans via your PalmCredit app.

4. PalmCredit Loan

These is another scam group impersonating our beloved PalmCredit.

Kindly report them if you can and save another soul from being scammed.

5. NewCredit Loan

These are a group of scammers who pretend to be the official reps of NewCredit Nigeria.

6. New Credit Loan.
This is a page on Facebook that claims to represent NewCredit and have over 1.4k followers

It’s very easy to be deceptive. Kindly avoid them.

7. OsunLoan
Another scammer app that’s trying to rip you off. They are unregistered and should not be trusted

8. NewCredit Services

This is another page claiming to represent NewCredit but has no affiliation whatsoever with the legitimate NewCredit loan app.

Kindly report them and tell your loved ones to avoid such sites.

9. Alikash

Just another unregistered loan app. A simple swipe through their reviews will give you the full story

They are unregistered, and have no customer care or working contact details. For your own good, avoid and report.

10. VsNaira

Just another fake loan app created by a scammer. They don’t give loans as evidenced by a simple swipe through their reviews.

11. FairNaira – Credit Loan Money

Designed to look like an offshoot of fair money, this useless app contains ads and instead of providing you with loans, it instead serves you ads, steal your debit card details and takes money off your account.

12. XcrossCash Loan customer care

Another scammer to avoid. This page redirects you to whatsapp where you chat with a shady figure who will take your precious details and hacknyou account.

The real XcrossCash Loan page will never redirect you to anywhere else apart from her loan app on Google Playstore.

13. Get Loan
This is another unregulated and unregistered loan app by an unknown person called Yusuf Ehigiator.

This app is not licensed or registered and if you input your card details, it would most likely steal from you.
